A short bio

Here is A little bit about myself and why 3D modeling has become my passion. Ever since I was a little boy I enjoyed playing video games and always aspired to have a career in gaming. It was Warcraft III that allowed me to view computer gaming as a form of art as oppose to simply a form of entertainment. At the age of 12 I had decided I wanted to enter the world of gaming and digital art. After high school I went to Champlain College in digital imaging/studio arts to follow my dream. With still many questions unanswered I took some classes at Concordia that were technical classes in Maya. I quickly realized they were to general and not specific enough for what I wanted to do. I continued my studies at the Campus Ubisoft where I spent a year and a half in the program 3D Modeling for Video Games. Here I got to experience making an actual game and it allowed me to touch on the different aspects of creating a game. I was informed NAD (École des arts numériques, de l'animation et du design) was now offering a Bachelors program in video games over 3 years and decided this school would be the best choice for me. During my time there i leaned a lot and got to work on multiple small games using UDK where i was a modeler character/prop/environment. After getting my bachelors I moved to Toronto for a job at Legend 3D where i was a 2D stereo artist. My 3D skills came in very handy here but i was soon offered a position as a Vue artist (environment artist) on Thomas the train which I decided was good for my career. I have been working in maya and Vue and enjoying it. Being able to trouble shoot my own problems and proposing new solutions to help the pipeline is something I find comes naturally and is one of my favorite parts of the job.
